Planet Days moves to Substack
We’ll continue sticking to our mission: an environmental newsroom that informs people just what they’re up against.
As always, thank you for reading Planet Days, a five-minute roundup of the latest climate news and what it means for our Planet. This post is to let our readers know we just switched platforms.
Though we started on Medium in July 2020, we just moved to Substack. The move gives us more flexibility going forward and allows us to expand to a wider audience. But don’t worry — it won’t change the content at all.
What is Planet Days?
We’re not all superheroes, so we can’t just save the planet. But we do have a right to understand what the hell’s going on with our climate. Enter Planet Days.
Planet Days is a weekly newsletter that provides short summaries to the biggest climate stories every week, while linking to deeper dives. Our newsletters are under-five-minute reads. Always.
Backstory
In 2019, we met while writing for a small environmental nonprofit in Washington, DC. After working together for year, we each moved onto new jobs but still saw the need for brief, clear updates on everything happening in the climate community.
Annoyed by jargon-filled, long, and inaccessible articles and reports about climate change, we started this newsletter in July 2020 to cut through the noise and provide everything you need to know in brief, clear posts.
Despite the latest move, we’ll continue sticking to our mission: an environmental newsroom that informs people just what they’re up against.
